Our annual beach trip with my mom and dad, Brooke (her family), Ben (his family), Aunt Carolyn, Amy, Cortney and our newbie this year -Trey (Cortney's soon-to-be husband) is now one month away. My family has been taking this trip to Orange Beach for as LONG as I can even remember. Along the way, we have picked up our husbands' and now bringing 8 kids under the age of 5. Last year was Abbie, Bailey & Noah's first year. It was probably a little tough (maybe a lot) for Ben and Anna to pack up their whole house and bring the babies (11 months) last year. Hopefully for them, this year will be a little better. They are almost 2 years old and can stay in the sun for a little longer than 30 minutes (like last year). Oh how I remember those days when it would take up more time to put on suntan lotion and swimmies than almost the amount of time they could be out in the sun - I can't even begin to imagine getting 3 - 11 month olds ready to get out in the pool for a few pictures then to come back in and wash off. I guess I better get ready, because next year Rodney and I will be starting all over with our new baby girl - Macy. But that's okay...we just hope she loves the outdoors like Joshua & Marah. They live outside during the spring and summer.
I had to post some pictures from our trip last year and in June I will post some new ones. The kids have grown so much since last year, and we cannot wait for our trip. The kids can't either. The big boys (Camden, Carter & Joshua), as well as Caley and Marah will probably skip naps to stay out at the pool or beach all day. WE will probably sneak some nap time in somewhere.
We will stay in 2 - three bedroom condos to accommodate all of us and this year we are staying somewhere new - the Caribe. The countdown is on and we cannot wait.

Girl, we are counting down our trip to the beach too! {It's what I am living for during this last week of school.} This one is just a me and Patrick trip--the last we'll get to have before little Addison enters our lives. I love the extended family trips too! Hope yours is fun, and I'll be looking forward to all of your pictures.
i am sooooooooo super jealous! we go there for a week every summer and since micah is taking his week with me (very soon), we won't get to go. but we are hoping to go see my parents in dothan for a wed-sun trip at the end of august or early september and hope to at least make it to destin for a couple of days.
it is the only place i could go for more than a week and never want to leave. i hope yall have fun!!
We are looking forward to it, too, Paige. We're hoping and praying that it'll be more fun this year with our kids being older. Man, last year was a "doozie" with our kiddos...we were pooped out. I think this trip will be better for us. Still won't be like a "real vacation" for us with three "almost" two year olds, but they'll enjoy it so much more and it'll be worth being tired to make some fun memories together! We'll be glad to get to all hang out together, too. It doesn't happen enough, does it? Can't believe Macy will be here soon. :) Let us know when you're ready to get the the baby stuff for your house.

I absolutely cannot wait for the beach!!!!! These are the memories that I hope my kid never forget....spending time with family. If only Macy could have joined in the fun this year. She is gonna be a little spoiled being the last grandchild and the only baby. I sure hope we can get some good beach pictures this year. Even if it takes getting out there every evening right before the sun goes down. I will be determined!! Really and truly is is never a relaxed vacation for anyone that has kids but it's still a great time for the family to have together. I am on the countdown!
Ya'll always have so much fun on this trip.. I love seeing Cortney's pictures of everyone. I think I should be an honorary member of the family for that week.
ps.. I am so glad that Trey gets to go this year, I know how happy she will be to have him there.
I just love your family so much. It is so awesome to see such a close family that has as much fun as you all so. I am going to live vicariously through you so have a ball and get as much sun as you can for me!!
That is awesome that your whole family gets away together like that every year! Such fun and sweet memories. I loved looking at last years pictures and can't wait to see the ones from this year.
