36 WEEKS...

Well, I've made it to 36 weeks - what a blessing that is. After 2 healthy kids, then 2 early miscarriages, I feel so blessed to be where I am now in this pregnancy. My doctor said that I was dilated to almost 3, and now I was playing the waiting game. She feels like I will go into labor before I am induced (she will induce me one week before my due date of Aug. 21 if I choose to). Besides not sleeping good, pressure and terrible indigestion I feel great. I should think upon the more positive side of things.

Even though we moved into our house a few months ago, we still have little things to do around here. But I don't need to worry about those things right now. Having everything ready for a new baby is our priority at the moment. Finding a piece of furniture for the foyer, having a couple of plants in special places, the playroom being organized and painting the kitchen and living area will have to wait for the Fall. I can handle that. Oh, and one of the biggest things that needs to be done, the yard- help us all. We have weeds everywhere. The grass is dead and I don't know what you call the green things in our flower beds. I suppose it can all wait as well.

We did paint and fix up the kids rooms and they are so proud of them. The one thing I wanted done more than anything was their rooms. So, we have taken care of that. Only a few here and there things need to be done to accommodate Macy and we will be ready.

We are getting more and more excited around here. The kids cannot wait! We can only pray for a healthy little girl at this point and an easy delivery (I hope) with no complications. Next Thursday we will have an ultrasound to see how big she is. Joshua was 7lbs 10 oz at 37 1/2 weeks and Marah was 6 lbs 2 oz at 38 weeks. We'll see.

Daddy's 28th Birthday!

We had a great weekend celebrating Rodney's birthday! Friday night Thomas, Brooke, Camden, Carter & Caley drove down to eat with us at OSAKA. Rodney loves Shogun in Huntsville and Osaka is the closest we have here in Florence. Grandmother Johnson, A. Carolyn and Amy met us for dinner as well. We had a good time laughing, eating and watching Caley and Marah when the flames go high. They brought out a big drum and sang Happy Birthday (which the Japanese guys stayed as monotone as you possibly could singing). I think they stayed on the same note the whole time. His candle was on what looked like a couple of Twinkies - not sure. Rodney shared those with the kids.
Marah didn't keep her present a surprise from Rodney so he was ready to open his presents Friday night (his birthday was not until Saturday). So all of us were okay with that. We sort of picked an Auburn theme this year. Marah picked out an Auburn cap and Joshua got him a couple of nice Auburn shirts. They had so much fun picking out a gift and wrapping it all by themselves. Then of course decorating it with all kinds of stickers. I got him tickets to the 2nd Auburn game of the year against Southern Miss. Upward Soccer starts the week after that game, so I thought he would like to get to an early game this year, since we'll be tied up with soccer for awhile. The month of August will be so crazy for us with Joshua starting school, his birthday, Rodney's 10 year class reunion, Dittos for Kiddos and then some where in there Macy will be born. So hopefully Rodney and Joshua can enjoy going to the Auburn ballgame the first weekend in September. It should be a nice break for him.

Rodney's parents and Ryan & Kellie came down for the day on Saturday. Ryan and Rodney played some golf, while Kellie and I took the kids to the pool until they got back. We had lots of fun. His parents took all of us to eat at Texas Roadhouse (yummy-thanks for dinner), then we let Rodney blow out candles again at our house. I think he had a good 28th birthday! Me and the kids sure did have a good time!

Story at the Lake

Pictures are still on their way of our beach trip, but until then I have to tell this quick story from Sunday.

We were at the lake with Rodney's parents on Saturday and Sunday! The kids love swimming and have both become really good swimmers over this summer. Every time we go to the lake, the kids decide to ride the intertube/inner tube (spelling ?) a little longer or a little faster. Joshua is usually the one that wants to do it all. Ride the jet ski, the tube and jump off the boat into the water. Marah decided she would ride the tube with our cousin Sallie. So she did! About the time we took off, we saw lots of fish jumping out of the water. They were small and some looked like they were about to jump in the tube with Sallie and Marah. The ride got a little fast, so Marah was ready to get back in the boat. Marah and I decided to take a break and go back to the camper, so they let us off and Marah wanted to change out of her swimsuit. I saw something black that looked like a stain on her swimsuit. I looked down in it, trying not to let her see and little did I know, a small fish was trapped inside her swimsuit. Oh no! I tried to flick it out before she saw it, but too late. She spotted the fish and started screaming bloody murder. I was trying to get her swimsuit off as quick as possible, but it was not quick enough. The fish had pooped inside her swimsuit and she had grabbed a hold of it trying to get it out and she squeezed some of its guts onto her belly. yucky! The neighbor thought something bad had happened by the way Marah was screaming! She finally calmed down after she had a shower to wash everything off. But she still would cry and say that fish pooped on me.
On top of that, Joshua and Pappy flipped over on the jet ski. They were out stranded for awhile till we noticed the jet ski had been in one place for awhile. The jet ski had died. Pappy was in the water trying to get back on while Joshua was on the jet ski when the boat pulled up to them. Joshua said Pappy was going too fast and they turned over. What a day at the lake.
